I use a standard boat wash and various types of brushes. I don't go in salt so no need for me to flush the motor.

Usually once a season, about early august, I have to pull it out of the water to clean the bottom. I trailer it home, get on my mechanics dolly and scape the bottom with a plastic putty knife. Then I take the green scouring pad and clean off the inside corners where the putty knife can't do a good job.

Use a good boat wash and flush the motor. I but a y on my garden hose and got to smaller hoses. Now I flush the motor and wash the boat at the same time. Also I use eagle products wax as you dry. It makes the wax I put on it, last a little longer.

Slightly off topic - my XL is black gelcoat that marks pretty easily. Any tips on covering/hiding the scratches?
