Ya, I changed the engine oil yesterday and didnt see any water at all in the oil. But occasionally you can see a slight mist coming from the oil fill cap when the engine is running. Also just found the engine coupler grease fitting, thats fun had to turn the engine over by hand to get the zerk fitting to line up to grease. Bayliner 195 4.3 TKS. Any other helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help

    Keep an eye on it.

Moisture in the engine from storage.

Once the engine gets some real heat in it it should dry out.

IF you get a milky residue inside the cap you might have a head gasket going bad.

4.3 TKS condensation under oil fill cap-gctid382929

After the boat was winterized and while in the process of getting it ready for spring, i noticed that there is a very small amount of water under the oil fill cap. Oil on the dipstick is perfect and golden. Anyway I ran the engine on the hose for an hour and everything seems fine, oil is good just a little more condensation under the oil fill cap. Just wondering if this is normal and what to maybe look for in the future with this.
Working...
