    New Element radio-gctid642467

We ordered our boat last year without a radio because we didn't know if the radio was good enough for us.

So now we are looking for a radio and don't know that to choose, hopefully you can help us.

I would like to have am/fm and Bluetooth. We are looking for a complete sound in the low, medium and high. Maybe a subwoofer is needed (not preferred).

    Budget around Ôé¼200/250.

Welcome aboard and congratulations to your boat!

Just make sure to buy one which is "marine" This usually means that either the enclosure is watertight and/or the boards are sealed with a protective "paint". In an open boat humidity and water splashes can be harsh on electronic stuff.

I installed the following in my Element and am super happy with it:

Same head unit that Bayliner offers from the factory! I already had it on my old boat...how lucky was that! ;-)

You can find more info at this here: http://www.jensenmarinedirect.com/

And this amp to run my subwoofer: http://www.cadencesound.com/fma-600-1/

If you want Bluetooth there are many to choose from, so I'd just look around until you find one you like.

Here's a link of how my install worked out: http://www.baylinerownersclub.org/in...shelf-upgrades

The unit efarstad mentioned also comes in a Bluetooth model, which is the one Bayliner installs when you option the radio.

I would stick with the Jensen or JBL version if you are looking for that style of head unit.

          Thanks for the info.

At the moment I'm looking at the Boss Audio MGR350B

With a pair of Infinity 612M speakers

Not sure if I should start with two speakers or won't this be sufficient for an Element?

The prices in Europe are crazy! They are asking 230 euros for the speakers instead of $70 at Amazon.

But with shipping and import duties it looks like I can get this set for around $220.
