Mine is installed vertically in the helm footwell. Basically under the steering wheel, a few inches from my left knee.

One on the back deck, one in the galley, one in each stateroom, B2 marine.

I forgot the huge auto halon in the engine room.

One is in the cabin, on the wall by the head, the other is outside behind the helm seat.

Well my boat is really big And so I have 3 of 'em

              - one at the helm, knee high under the shifter

              - one in the jon

              - one in the V, not mounted but on the shelf that's right where I sleep

When I get my 30 somethin' footer someday, I'll use probably 1 more

              :right

Just a 'hi there, Miss Sara Lee' from someone from the deep dungeon called Political (and such)!

I just gave you a 'rep', because you are the best example of what a good Bayliner owner is all about...making fun of all of us that have something smaller than your current ride! If I carried two extinguishers it would probably sink me....

JUST KIDDING! So glad to see you again!

Mine is mounted in the footwell area of the helm station. It doesn't get used very often. I remove it from the bracket annually and have it professionally inspected, which involves hitting the bottom repeatedly with a rubber hammer and putting a fresh tag on it.

On my 17.5 mine is mounted to the front seat mount on the port side with a heavy duty wide velcro strap. Since it is under the edge of the seat and behind the passengers heel it is out of the way, yet available in an instant.

Ours is where Bayliner put it. Tucked up under the helm on the left side.

Mocoondo offers great advice, you need to check it every season.

I'm amused with where Yamaha puts the one on my Waverunner...under the rearmost seat. So, if there is a fire, I'm supposed to take the seat off ( HELLO ENGINE AND GAS TANK) get it out an hope for the best.

Screw that, I'm jumpin' off and swimming as fast as I can, lol!
