  • Faria system check gauge and mercruiser 4.3 tks?-gctid364259

    Hi, I just picked up a 185 flight (2009) with 22 hours.

I want to fill the blank gauge with either a depth, hour, clock or a system check gauge I saw.

My question is does the mercruiser 4.3 tks support such a gauge?

    Ie system check

    Thanks.

    Pete

    Vancouver.

First of all, welcome to the site!

We have a 185...we added the depth gauge a few years ago. We talked with Faria, then special ordered the matching Kronos gauge through West Marine.

    Works awesome!

Will the System Check gauge work with the 4.3 TKS?

      Thanks for the welcome.

Yep, that's the same engine I have.

Sorry to bring an old post from the dead!

Nutsofamily, i cant seem to PM you, but I was wondering if you ever installed another gauge in your blank spot? Im wanting to add a depth sounder, and was curious what yours looked like.

            thanks

I added a Faria Depth Guage to get the factory look. Ordered it from iBoats. Installed it behind my bilge pump and it has been extremely accurate.

                Hey thanks for replying!

That's exactly what I wanted to add. Do you happen to have any pictures? So your using a "shoot thru hull" type transducer?

                Thanks!!

                  Yes, through hull.

I'll send some pics tonight when I get home.

Wow that looks great! I have the same gauges. Is that the Chesapeake white guage?

So that transducer has no holes required right? If its accurate then I'd rather go that route. Any install tips?

                          No drilling, easy follow instructions

I used environment antifreeze for liquid
