Where are the older posts and topics

So its been a while since I have been on here. The fist thing that I noticed was a whole new look, the second thing is that a lot of the older posts for the deck boats are gone. I even went in to my notifications and tried to go back to a post that I had made some comments in and they are gone. Now I have to ask where did they all go?

If you know what the post tile was you can try and GOOGLE it, I have found some things that way.
Nothing is ever totally lost, you just need to find it.

We went through a software migration in early Novenber. Fortunately we were able to save several hundred thousand posts. Unfortunately some were lost.

Kevin, you are correct, many or most threads were saved. I guess I was focusing on all the detailed photos In several ongoing "build threads" that didn't make the transfer.
            My bad :/

Same here. I was a distinguished old member since 2011 or so. Now I'm a newbie and the site does not seem as helpful and friendly. Oh well, I guess that's progress. Griff

I can change your post count if you’d like to what you think it was.

The problem is if a member does not come to the BOC for a whole year, and if they had less than 10 posts we delete their account. This way we can keep track of how many people actually use the site.

The best advice is to use the site. Come here, log in, post a little and you’ll stay active. If you go away and don’t come back for a entire 12 months in most cases you are not going to come back.

                Thanks!
