Like or Thank You

Hmmm, Just read another thread where a BOC member said he had hit the imaginary "thank you" button, which got me thinking:
Is the "like" button at the bottom of the text window the new version of a "thank you" button?
If so should it be changed to read "thank you" and are thank you(s) still being tallied with this new format?

The like button is just that, a like button.

We cannot change the name, and I’m not sure what it’s function is except to add to a members “reputation” which is the little orange bars beneath your avatar
