If we had some notice of this change and the date we could have coppied our posts and re-posted them.

Did they make a backup? Is there a way to bring the old forum back online so that missing important content can be recovered?

We took a snapshot a week ago and started the conversion process.
What we did not know is that there were errors in the old database that kept us from recovering some posts and threads.

We had great plans, but the datbase errors of course messed that up, so this is what we have to move forward with.

Good thing is this won’t ever have to happen again.
We are not only running Vbulletin software, we are actually hosted by them on their servers.

Thank you for the explanation, I do wish we had notice of the change though, instead of a surprise.

Same thing happened the last two times. Much of the tech section, and almost everything before 2013 was lost.

The GREAT thing now guys is that we are hosted with Vbulletin, the forum software company themselves.

As long as a future admin team does not decide to change software companies, you won’t ever loose data again.
