Do you have a kicker motor ? If so, you can use a raymarine tiller autopilot which is actually meant for a sailboat but it’s the most cost effective way of doing it. I’m assuming your in the states because you spelled pickerel wrong but looks like you can get one for about $400 bucks. YouTube “raymarine tiller pilot on a outboard motor” , there is a couple different ways it can be hooked up.
If no kicker, here in Canada an autopilot will run you min $3500 installed with taxes.
I am interested in putting an autohelm on my 1987 trophy 2160 Cuddy cabin boat, I want to use it. For walleye fishing on Lake Erie, just keep it heading in one direction , any thoughts on what to buy
