  • VW Engine in a Bayliner Ciera 2355

Hello, my name is Silviu and I am seeking some help !

I am interested in purchasing my first boat and I really like the looks of the Bayliner Ciera 2355.

While I was scrolling looking for the perfect one I saw one listed with a VW/Audi TDI engine.
Searching on google I could not find any info about these marine engine conversions.

What year and what engine? Not sure what kind of emissions systems are on boat engines if it is newer. If it is a TDI with no emissions, that's one thing, but if it has emissions, it might be a bear. My Touareg has a TDI that was part of the VW dieselgate thing, and the "fix" did the opposite for quite a few vehicles.

Post up a link or some more info. I'm curious now.

Ya, We got caught up in that too. 2010 Jetta TDI and we really liked that car too. When all was said and done we got about $19K for it in the buy back. We now have a Honda CRV. Jim
