When looking for a suitable place you need to consider that the heater cannot be in the engine compartment of any gasoline powered boat.

If it were me, I’d install a Wallas stove/heater.

The Wallas unit will almost directly replace the alchohol stove you probably have on the boat. It has a heater function where the lid closes and a blower pushes heat out. It is also a great cook stove.

I’ve had one myself and loved it!

Hi Bob. I’m wondering what you chose to install? I have a 2655 and I’m considering a “Planar” as I’d like to duct into the cockpit as well as downstairs.

        cheers

        Jeff

Second the motion on the Wallas Stove/Heater. Installed one in place of the alcohol/electric stove on our 2859. Works great - does a good job of heating athe cabin of a boat this size.
