1989 4588 Restoration

About this Blog

This is my first blog ever, so bear with me...I want to chronicle the boat from start to finish in hopes of inspiring others that, while many of these issues seem daunting, they are repairable and replaceable with help from people on this forum. At 57, as a USCG 200T licensed captain, having opportunities to move boats all over, I have always wanted a Bayliner pilothouse, kind of an iconic boat for sure. My recent purchase of a 4588 in Beaufort, SC carries with it almost every repair possible...and while I wasn't looking for a fixer upper, that's what I ended up with.
