How can I identify what 4 cylinder engine I have in my 1985 Bayliner capri 1950 2.1 L

Welcome. Personally, I need a bit more information about your boat and power package. Is that a Volvo? The stock power in those years was an overhead cam four cylinder, I just want to make sure it wasn't repowered to another brand. Pictures also help. We had a '83 Capri Cutty Cabin, but that was in '84 and my detail memory of that time is a fog. :dry:

2.1L "B Series" Volvo car block. 125 hp.

Otherwise known as the cockroach engine. After the nuclear bombs drop and all of us are dead, that engine will still start on the first turn and run as long as there is a gas line attached.
