The deal was finally struck; we are now proud owners of a 2000 Bayliner 305.

Took her out for a seatrial yesterday and after the final all clear from our mechanic all the papers have been signed and money exchanged.

We have an impending category 4-5 cyclone due in the next 48hrs so need to survive this before the fun begins of making her our own!

Congrats on the new boat. There's plenty of 305/3055 guys here to help with most every thing on these express cruisers.

For the record, the 2000 model is a 3055. Bayliner didn't start calling them 305s till a few years later.

Be sure to list the specifics like engines, drives, etc in your sig so people will be better able to help with questions you may have down the road.

I am also a new Bayliner 3055 owner. The boat we just bought is a 2001. We will be working on her to get her ready for beautiful Lake George this coming season. The boat has great 5.7L twins and a 4.5KW genset, all with very low hours. Nevertheless the boat needs much TLC before she is ready for the season. Does anyone know where we can purchase the hull stripes and decals? Bayliner no longer carries the stripes. I agree with the rest of the comments on the forum, this 3055 is a great boat.

Great Lakes Skipper has some of the decals and lettering. I debated buying a set to have just in case.

One of the best IMO overall boats Bayliner ever designed and built. You will love it.
