B) I have completed the interior refurbishment of my 3270. sanded down, stained and varnished all of the woodwork and cabinets. replaced all of the carpeting and upholstery and curtains. Both engines rebuilt.

I am waiting for the weather to break to

uncover the boat and start on the bridge repairs.

We are moving the boat to the Hudson river, where we believe it to be our long term home port @ Half Moon Bay Marina. We enjoyed cruising on the Hudson on our 26' Sea Ray. But it gets a bit cramped for 4 persons after the first few days of a cruise when weather is poor.

I am still working on the hot water and (?) heating system. There is an aluminum coil under the last step heading down to the galley. I assume that is heat only, and not a cooling system.

I really need to get more familiar with the contents of the tunnel. The previous owner passed away, so I had no tour of the boat or explanation of boat's features or drawbacks. Also, this boat was the largest on our lake, and the owner did his own maintenance. So the marina mechanics were of little help.

I am very much looking forward to learning for anyone who has the same vintage 3270.

Happy Cruising everyone!

If original the thing under the step is a heat exchanger, it works just like the heater core does in your auto. Port engine must be running for it to have hot water to work. Fan switch is at lower helm. There should be a valve in the utility compartment at the foot of the master stateroom bed to turn water flow off in non heating season.

The water heater is also located in this compartment. It works off of shore power when plugged in or if equipped when running the generator. The breaker is on the main AC breaker panel. It also has a internal heat exchanger which is plumbed to the starboard engine and will heat water when engine is running;

Welcome! I sure hope that's a recent picture and you are not buried under feet of snow! We got some pictures from our son and daughter in law of their home near Burlington, VT and there was two feet of it from just yesterday while we are just getting record rain in Western Washington State.
Isn't it fun the ways a new to you boat can keep you busy?

Congratulations on the new boat! We purchased our '82, 3270 a little over a year ago and are still getting to know her, but enjoying every minute. This is boat number 5 and it's the first time we've ever had a "cave" to deal with. Very interesting. Get some good knee pads, you'll need em. She looks great. Good luck!
