Hey everybody,

I just bought a new Element XL with the 115HP and the fishing package. Never owned a boat other than a 2014 Sea Doo GTI SE. I'm a little overwhelmed and worried that I am going to forget something crucial. ;) Other than that I'm pretty excited to have her. Only been out on the water once so far. I live right near Lewisville Lake in Denton, TX and will probably spend most of my time there or at Ray Roberts. My first set of mods are pretty simple. I need somewhere to store rods and reels while moving from one place to another on the water. I'm thinking about a couple of flush mount rod holders toward the back and then something akin to a rapala lock and hold rack on the inside somewhere near the cubby next to the wheel if it doesn't interfere with the bimini. Anyway, glad to be an owner and glad to be here. Thanks to all of you who contribute to this forum. It's appreciated. Here's a couple of pics:

Welcome. I highly recommend a transom saver - engine prop rod when towing. I have the same setup, and noticed the motor bounces a lot when trailering.

Thanks everybody. transom saver is definitely on the shopping list, Sean; even though the boat ramp down the street just opened up and luckily I may not have too trailer much. Thanks!
