any advice you can give to someone thinking of buying a 2000 3988 w 330 cummins? this is my first real boat other than a 13 whaler?

Buying the boat is the easy part. Slip fees, insurance, mechanical as well as cosmetic maintenance, and personal touches and upgrades linger LOOONG after you write that first check. (I'm sure you've already considered fuel costs.) If you've considered all these items and budgeted likewise, go for it, the 3988 is a great boat! And welcome to the BOC! :cheer:

thanks. I've considered all the expenses. i guess my question is what should i look out for when doing my survey. The boat is from someone we know who really pampers his baby. its ready for the summer... he's only selling because he takes delivery of a larger meridian this month. anything specific i should look out for on this model?
