Hi everyone,

I'm new to forums and new to being a boat owner, we've just purchased a Ciera 2855 and were in love..

I have no idea what we used to do with our time but if we're not at work we are "on the boat".

We are currently looking to update / refurbished her so lots of questions to ask I'm sure and all advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Welcome Aboard from the colonies. My 2855 was also a 1996 model. It was and is the best rough water boat I have ever owned. It could handle the rough stuff probably better than I did. Mine had the big block 7.4 (454) Bravo III combo. She ran wide open at 51 MPH according to the GPS. Cruising speed was pretty much anywhere from 26 to 34 MPH depending on conditions. Hope you enjoy your 2855 a lot. There are times I miss mine. Good luck and have a safe season.

Welcome aboard.

Remember these few rules and you will be fine:

1) Projects always take twice as long as you anticipated.
2) Projects cost twice as much as you expected.
3) Two-footitis is not curable.

and the most important, remember everything is in multiples of a BOAT buck. (Break Out Another Thousand)
