Hello, I'm a first time boat owner, having just bought a Rendezvous 2609 to use here at Lake of the Ozarks, MO. I know about as close to "nothing" as possible, relying on adult son and his friends who have been here for years. I decided on the Rendezvous based on reviews I found online, and the test drive confirmed for me I wanted something bigger than 17 - 19 ft which get tossed around terribly, here. Currently I'm looking for a windshield, as this boat didn't come with one. Any recommendations on a good place to purchase that won't break the bank? I had to special order a cover right off the bat, and that was (for me) a bit pricey at over $500. If there are any tips and tricks, things to watch out for with a Rendezvous 2609, I'd appreciate knowing that too. Will be taking driving lessons in the near future and I'm looking forward to that! Thanks for any and all help, guidance.

Larry,

I got the cover here ... don't know how to embed a link here, so hopefully just pasting it in will work. The company is iboats.com boatcovers.iboats.com/Bayliner/2609_Rend...=2&cart_id=881788147

My Rendezvous has a Mercury 175 outboard motor, which I'm guessing is pretty standard for this boat. Son likes how it handles, with the exception of backing up, evidently he (or it) has some issues with going a certain direction. We're still getting to know each other, this boat and I. So far, so good. :)

Hey guys,
I'm in the same boat, literally!!!! I just got my first boat as well, a 1994 Bayliner Rendezvous 2609 with a force 120. My outboard just died last week and am going to repower hopefully very soon. I'll try a send pics of the process. Hope to talk to you guys soon.
