Hello again forum. My project is a 84 Explorer. The window trim molding is dull and ugly. Does anyone have any ideas for brighting it up? Is there a wax, oil, or lotion to bring it back. Should I remove and paint them or something else? Thanks

Hi
What are your frames made of? I'm am in the process of painting the aluminum frames for my side windows. The gray paint on them wasn't peeling or loose so I just scuff sanded with 120 grit, wiped the sanding residue off with lacquer thinner and applied 2 coats (so far) of a brushable rustoleum exterior enamel.
I chose a satin finish (black) and it looks pretty good.
Much better than it did.
