May I tap the knoledge pool for a little help?
When I attach the earmuffs to my 270 for flushing or to just run the engine for a breif time the absence of water in the heat exchanger and the exhaust has me worried.
The impellar is new and the pump worked well before I layed up last fall?
Also when I shut off the engine and water supply there's water dripping form behind the pump/timing cover any ideas?

Thanks, Mark

The drive seal is shot in your pump.

+1, Guaranteed that's your problem. It's a cheap, easy fix.
Just take the water pump off & disassemble, press in new seals and voila! :arr
