Does anyone know were I can get 12v fuel solenoid shut off valve that is ignition protected? I'm having problems with the anti-siphon valves on my fuel tanks. The electric fuel pump can't suck the fuel thru the anti-siphon valve and up the dip tube, when the fuel level is about 3 inches from the bottom of the tank. I would like to remove the anti-siphon valve and replace them the solenoid valves.

IMO, there is something else stopping the fuel from getting to the engine. It could be a small air leak at a connection or even a bad section in a new hose. There’s something else going on with the system.

IMO, you might want to check out the integrity of your dip tube. If it was a hole in the line, it would suck air all the time, not just when there was 3" left in the tank.

I replaced the fuel filter just in case. I pulled the the dip tube it was clean. When I pulled the tube I had the anti-siphon valve in place and it was full of fuel. So there is no pin hole in the tube.

Ditto Pete and Kevin.

There are hundreds of thousands of boat in use that incorporate the standard gasoline fuel delivery systems that work just fine.
Your gasoline fuel pump (if working properly) should have no problem pulling fuel up through the screen/dip-tube, up to the 90* fitting, through the Anti-Siphon valve, through the filter cartridge and on to the engine.

Use the tried and proven P of E and you'll find the problem!

Edit:

The Anti-Siphon Valve is required in order to prevent a gasoline leak in the event of hose damage that may occur at an elevation that would be lower than the fuel level.

With the electric solenoid valve being used in lieu of the Anti-Siphon Valve, you would need to get USCG approval.

Suck all the gunk and junk off the bottom of the tank.
