I have a 2004 2502 that has been lift kept for several years. Thus, never had a need for a trailer.

That has changed and I need to find something to tow the boat around on. Being that old and me being that trailer ignorant, can't seem to dig up appropriate specs for an appropriate trailer.

Since the LOA figures for the boat go from 25' for the hull to 27' for hull + platform to 30' for hull + platform + engine, I'm not entirely sure where to start for trailer length. Also, only dry weight I can find is 4600# but that seems to be for the twin 175 configuration, Mine is a single 225hp.

Any advice is appreciated.

Take a look at venture trailers. I've got one for my 2452 same approximate weight as your boat, does a great job and quality product. Its an aluminium bunk type and will support your vessel well.
