We had an uneven and shifting load on a return trip from the central waters of Green Bay. Had to do some fancy trim tab leveling when they just shut down. Found a blown 25A fuse under the dash. I didn't have a replacement, so I had to have the crew adjust accordingly. I am only assuming the fuse is the cause. I'm hoping I simply over ran the pump with tab(s) fully extended or retracted??? Anybody else have this happen?

One possability: If you hit port tab one direction & starboard tab the other at the same time it'll pop the fuse.

Ah. I'm sure that I've done that accidentally.

Replaced fuse and still nothing. Time to get the voltmeter out and do some diagnostics.

Yep, check the electrical plug connection at the pump and its negative wire connection to the motor for clean solid contact. Corroded connections can often cause these types of issues.

Dang. Still fighting the system. 13 volts at the common lug on the momentary tab switches. When I cycle the switches, I'm getting some varying voltage on the switched side of each. -3, 6 and 10 volts. Really strange. Anybody know if this is how these switches work? Shouldn't I get a fully 13 volts when the switch is closed?

There may be another fuse. Mine has an inline glass tube fuse right has the battery selector switch. I have to crawl alllll the way up there

Yes. A 25 amp under the dash and a 10 amp inline glass fuse immediately after the battery positive feed line. Both were blown. Both have been replace and do not blow through the diagnostics.
