Where can you put a generator on a 1986 3270 Motor Yacht?

Mine was right behind the starboard engine. It was a 6.5 KW Northern Lights.

I took it out after I installed solar panels. You may want to look at this option

I put a Honda 2000 on my swim platform in a leather covered aluminum welded box, sound-proofed, with a Bomar hatch. I've got an intake fan with plenty of cut out for exhaust. You probably mean "in the engine room" by your question. I don't have AC, so it's just to run TV's, toaster, etc. works great. I will hardwire thru the engine room to the panel with a switch this winter. My trial and error passed the test.
