I've turned both my ventilator grills aft just for that very reason.

Guys, I don't think there is any spray getting in mine. I did block the front louvre to prevent the water entering it when it runs off the top of the gunwale trough.

Plus 93&94 the vents where over the gunnel so rain water would run in, I build boxes on the inside to stop that. Added rain cover.

i would like a set of those for over the galley window frames! Kind of like the vent visors on a vehicle.

Well happy day today! Motor went in. Need to get it aligned properly now. Using the new style rear motor mounts and after reading that most people have had to use the extra spacers that come with the kit i figured i would just put them in to start with..........well it looks like i dont need them! Will lift it up tomorrow and take them back out.

But it sure feels good to have the motor back in once again!!

Looking good sketch, can't wait to see your sea trial results with that bad mamojamma engine in there :woohoo:
I see the low profile pump setting in front, did it not clear the oil pan?

Have you been using the whale pumps fritzman? Just wondering how they are working. They look like little toys! Not much to them! I will put the 2nd one in tonight back under the motor. I installed a 1000gph johnson pump with the ultima switch in the front compartment. Now with 2 whale 1100 in the rear compartment i think it should be sufficient!!

Up to the time I pulled for my tiny project the one I installed under the Eng. worked well, have had to reposition that one and added one under the fuel tank.

Got the raw water system roughed in today. Need hose clamps yet but hoping this should do it! Need to order a stainless 90 to replace the bronze one on the flushing tee to make it all the same. Its all i had in my pile of junk to make it work for now.
