I've had exactly the same problem too. Each time I've had to take the top off the carb, squirt carb cleaner in all the available holes and then it would run fine, until the next time I used it. I put a clear inline fuel filter in just before the carb to see what was happening and each time I used the boat there would be white grainy deposits in the filter and bottom of carb bowl. These would dissolve if rubbed between my fingers, but were obviously also getting into the tiny holes in the carb.
The fuel was only a month old and had additive added also.

I don't know if it might be the ethanol in the fuel absorbing water from reading all sorts of internet threads. The only way I can see water getting in is condensation in the metal tank. So this winter I've put in a new smaller plastic tank which I can also keep full to avoid condensation, and put a 5 micron filter in.

We'll see what happens this year.

Leave the tank empty, pull the hose off the tank with the engine running and let the carb run dry and conk out.

Now the boat can sit for a year / years, whatever.

Make sure you drain it well poking the drain holes with a stiff wire.

Never used additives.

Check the fuel pickup/fuel level sensor and all the hoses, also check the vent hose. If you keep getting debris the problem would be with one of those.

You use Silicone on the fuel sender gasket ? How about a silicone o-ring ? Tape ? Wrap a screw on fitting with white tape ? The tank is white ?

You have the correct hoses ethanol friendly ? But then again it would be fine black pieces.

Update. All job done to my knowledge. New spark plugs, new fuel pump filter, clean inline filter and HEET and Seafom in tank with 10 gallons.......what else could be done? TKS works properly

It just needs a soft tap with a rubber hammer to break the seal or a leverage lift from the edge of the top.

You should not be seeing a drop off of the venture cluster if everything is right. I would think that the drop may change the rpm or add a shake to the idle. You can check the manual for a idea of what might be causing this or my guess would be you need to check you float level set in the bowl.

My 3.0 TKS when at idle shakes like a mother usually.......I have read that this is typical for this little workhorse engine.....I do make it a practice to check the engine mounts and their secureness to the hull....pretty much seems to be understood from the design of the mounts that this engine was going to shake...
