Hello,

I am interested in trying this product on my seats and engine cover. My seats are in good shape but were really filthy and stained from the previous owner. I have cleaned as best i could but they are still not where I would like them to be. I have a 2004 192cc . My question is, has anyone used this product before and do you know what color white would match? They have around 4 different versions of white. I'm thinking Carver White is best but would like a recommendation if possible.

Thanks,
Mike

I am thinking about dressing up the seats in my boat too with a product like that. Mine are without holes but show their age in fading and discolored spots. At a later date I will do the upholstery right but for now I want to just make it look better. Post pictures when you do yours, I would love to see how the job turns out.

Just wondering how you cleaned things up? Have you tried simple green with a magic eraser first?

While not something to do every cleaning the light sanding of the magic eraser will clean thing up very well.

I used the SEM white spray on commercial boat cushions and after 1 month it is doing fine. Needed lots of coats however.

I have used both of those as well as commercial cleaners from West Marine and soft scrub with bleach. By now the coating on the vinyl is gone (absolutely no shine). Still stains in the seat from fish blood i assume. Not a big problem but bothers me.

I used Carver white on mine. I was really happy with the result and the product. The seats came out like new. The colour is a very close match.

When I was in autobody I used sem vinyl dye all the time. Not as good as new vinyl however a good alternative.

Sem generally has good products

2 years into the SEM test and they are still holding up on our tour boat. We re-coat them every spring and they make it for the whole season!
