Please keep up the good work. As a new to big boats owner of a 1991 Bayliner 3055 I fear I too will need to undertake some work similar to this - hopefully not as extensive. Good to know an elephant can be eaten - at least in small bites.

You're an inspiration.

Hi everyone. Well, I'm sure some of you think I've given up on the project by now, but I haven't. I've just gotten so busy with bike work that I just haven't had time to get back to it. It doesn't look like I'm going to get a break for a while either. I've got a bike I'm finishing up to sell at a show this month, and have several other jobs sitting here to do. The good thing is that I'm making money so I can throw it at the boat when I get back to it. It's kind of funny though, I bought this boat last year so I could get away from the grind once in a while. Summer is always the busiest time of year for me. So it looks like this may have to be a winter project. :(
I am watching other projects on here in the mean time though. Keep it up guys, their looking good.

Still trying to get through this thread! It's an odyssey! Just wanted to post up to say, good job, I'm jealous of the spare time you have, and to give props to a fellow motorcycle guy and craftsman/atlas lathe owner!

Keep up the good work!

Hi folks, I just wanted to stop in and say hi. It's been a long 8 months since I've been able to get back in and continue the rebuild. But it feels like years at this point. All I've actually had time to do is put a new tarp over it since it's the rainy season again. Everything still sits just as you saw it in the last pictures.
Just after my last update I was informed that my mom was going to sell her house and get a smaller one. So, I told her she should move in with me instead. I had a lot of work to do to get ready for that including rebuilding the main bathroom. That was more work than I figured, but it always is. I didn't get it done till after she moved in. Then came all the rearranging, remodeling, etc... you get the point I'm sure. For the last couple months I've been trying to catch up on motorcycle jobs and getting things back to normal. Or at least to a NEW normal. I still can't see when I'll be able to climb back in the boat since there's still a lot to do work wise, but I'm hoping that day comes sooner than later. I do miss all of it and it's hard knowing the structure was all ready to start putting in the decking down and getting things back together when I had to stop. But, "it is what it is" and I'll get back to it eventually.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.
Larry

Ya, I've been noticing you haven't been working on yours either. It kinda sucks how life gets in the way sometimes.
Hope to see an update from you someday too. What you've gotten done so far looks really nice. A lot closer than mine is getting!

What a bunch of lazy butts!!! :) I have the same problem,I didn't get much done the last few months. It's so easy to get distracted and make excuses why not to work on the boat.

I think we need a let's get motivated thread or an intervention thread.:)

Yeah I can sympathise, life gets in the way. I'd love to be able to just crank away at the boat, but until my Power Ball ticket hits, I need to maintain my business so I can pay the bills.
