Hey Papa Bear,
We're new on here, but I'm not new to Bayliners and would be great to meet and greet new people for some good weekends. Had a '86 2858 Contessa about 15 years ago then a 24' Bristol Corsair sailboat that I restored and now own a '86 2560 Trophy. Hopefully once all this rain is through, we can be out and about. Aloha,

I was just wondering how many of you guys have your boat in the water already? I has been raining so much lately it has delayed to work on the boat. Has anyone put their boat in the water already?

After scraping the moss off we went a few weeks ago on our first trip. Had the grand baby for her first trip, it was nice. Last weekend we went out for about 4 hours. This weekend looks really good, going to attempt the mythical "anchoring out overnight "

Yep, been out for the last three weekends . . . . still overnighting at the docks though. Haven't anchored out overnight yet . . . use a CPAP so won't do that until I have a sound "House Bank" of batteries and an inverter. Attempting to figure out the wiring diagram is probably going to take a month or more anyway . . . Should be just a bit more down the road. Way too many boat bucks going out the hatch right now to worry about that one today (electronics, trim tab EIC, bedding, galley stuff, AIS, flo-scans . . . phew! no wonder I'm broke . . . . looks like a bunch of butterflies) . . . . :side:

While this is not official yet I may have to bow out. I just received a job offer in Germany and if all goes through I will be leaving before the end of the month. If it does not work out I will narrow it down a bit more.

So for all the planning and such I was trying to do my wife and I will not be able to attend. I am headed for Germany to work for a year and will be leaving before the 4th. I hope everyone has a nice holiday and the weather is beautiful and winds are light.

See you next year. :D

So, has a location been selected? Is the event still on? We have been planning on attending.

Papa Bear, best wishes on the new position!

Well, as Murphy would have it, we'll be in the Bay area ourselves during the 4th of July week but won't be able to make it down until Sunday late or Monday (and then cruising around the Bay for the rest of the week - no particular plans) and I know that means we won't be seeing too many BOCers (but then??). Look around for us, we're out there somewhere unless someone has an idea where we can meet during the week. Unfortunately, I'm not all that familiar with the Bay yet (just got our new-to-us boat) but could probably find y'all if'n you can give me some map references . . . . :cheer:

Now THAT sounds like a plan!! We might just catch up with you . . . tried to get a slip at Chesapeake City but apparently "no go" on Slipfinder . . . they recommended two other places . . . think Bohemia has any spots open? Guess I'll have to call when I get home tomorrow.

No slots at Bohemia Bay on the dock, but plenty of anchor spots in the river. We will have people aboard for fireworks, but happy to raft up until they are over.

Sat night fireworks looks good from a marine forecast, so nice anchor times.
