Hello All,
I decided to make this thread for gathering and distributing information between all Arriva owners. Feel free to post anything that you are wondering about, have issues with, or have information about.

Basic Arriva Information:

"Arriva" was the name given to a group of Performance Orientated boats manafactured by US Marine...based largely on Bayliner Capri hull designs, with a different deck-cap, engine options, and various other perks over a comparable Bayliner. They are much like the Lexus models that Toyota produces...In laymans terms they are the "Glorified Bayliner".

However, they shared no common name with the "Bayliner" brand, and their only connection was that they have a few similar parts and were built by Bayliners parent company...US Marine. (Brunswick Marine). ARRIVA was the brand created to Succeed the "COBRA" brand of boats. Simply put, Cobra was the early and mid 1980's Performance orientated Bayliner, and ARRIVA was the next generation (late 80's and early 1990's) Performance orientated Bayliner. They were both marketed seperatly from other US Marine/Brunswick Marine brands (example -Bayliner) under the respective Branding "Cobra" or "Arriva". From what I can tell Arrivas are fairly rare (like 1/500 boats you'll see is an Arriva..so not Super rare..not yet!) and cost approximately 30k to 40k when new. Interestingly it appears that a large amount of Arrivas were shipped or sold in Europe, notably to Italy, England, Spain, and France (In order of most prevelant..although that's officially unverified). In the states they are most prevelant in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, the Carolinas, and Washington, followed by the rest of the SE coastline areas, the NE and the NW states. There appear to be very few located outside of those states, most notably skipping Chicago (Illinois), New York, the entire Midwest, and California. They were manafactured for 4 years originally, with a 2nd generation being built for an unknown amount of years (I believe 2 or 3 years..but have no official facts regarding the 2nd generations production)..here's what I do know..

(See the following Post for more Arriva information and Technical Details!)

(I believe they no longer maintain a website, thus the link does not work)

H.I.N. Number Variations:
(Hull Identification Number)

Unknown variations and decoding, I believe each HIN starts with "Y", and I am currently researching which numbers there are on Arrivas, and what they mean...so the following information may not be 100% accurate.

The HIN is Located on the vessels State Title, and Stamped into the fiberglass on the rear, right hand side of the boat..near the ladder on most boats.

Model Number Variations:
ALL models follow this method

1st (2 Digit numeric): Length of Boat (20=20ft, 24=24ft)
2nd (2 Digit numeric): Engine Configuration (00=outboard, 50=sterndrive (Inboard/Outboard))
3rd (2 digit letter code): Bow Configuration (KR= Closed Bow, BR = Bow Rider)*

*I need to double check the KR & BR references, as there's a chance that what I have written here is wrong*

Examples:
2050 KR (20ft length, I/O engine, Closed Bow)

2000 BR (20ft, Outboard Engine, Bow Rider)

Good job on putting this thread together - had to be a HELLUVA lot of time and energy. I always admired the Arrivas (1st gen) good looking boats. Never owned one or rode in one though...

First off i would like to thank you for posting this information about the arrivas. I purchased a 2050 bow rider with a 5.0 v.8 last fall. Im just in the process of putting it back together and almost have it finished. Also if your interested i have an original sales brochure for the arrivas, it states power options interior options that sort of thing its not a full owners manual just something a dealer would give you if you went to buy one new way back when.

Thanks everyone, this was indeed quite time consuming...and I am by no means an expert (my arriva has yet to hit the water with me as the owner!)...but I love my boats none-the-less! I got tired of trying to keep in touch with who has what, and who knows what, and so forth..and decided this would be the best way to start a section on this site to track information about arrivas, and possibly start a Q&A area for arrivas specifically.

Now for you...

That is very interesting. Are you open to either...
A. Selling that sales brochure
B. Emailing me some good quality scans (If possible) so that I can archive, and post them on here?
C. Emailing or Private messaging me a list of everything that it says, so I can update my list of options accordingly (in the main post I created above)?

I would rather not sell it because i dont know as if i will ever find another one. i will try and scan it as best i can if it does not transfer well i will definatly type up all the information. Im in the same boat as you as far as getting my boat in the water. I just replaced the motor and im not getting spark now, so hopefully this weekend i can trace the wires around and solve this issue. After that its a few touch ups on the hull and away she goes on her maiden voyage.

I understand, and any time will do...I don't need it right away. Just message me whenever you scan, or get all the info outta that brochure. Sounds like you're at about the same spot as I am, on the boat. I have everything complete now except getting it to run. I haven't tried to run it yet this spring, its still in storage, but last year the engine froze up on me. I didn't try to turn it by hand though, so I don't know if its actually seized up, or if its just not getting enough power from the starter to turn it. I've gotta check out the starter wiring for corrosion, and go from there when I do get it out from storage. The only other issue I have is that my trim N Tilt will not go down, but I'm guessing I'll simply replace the down solenoid and that'll fix it. Keeping my fingers crossed though!

Great job on the work you have done. I still have not been able to find the piece that goes on top of the windshield on mine. I think that everyone is just looking for an ARRIVA part but I think that any straight piece that goes on the window would work. It is 48" long. I have the means to weld the pieces together also if they have two pieces that would work. Thanks again for all your work..

Hmm...Have a scanner? Or willing to sell?

Also...

Can you verify for me, that those are for the Model Year 1992? Like does it literally say "1992" on the covers? Sorry for the dumb question, but I have always wanted to know, for sure, if Arrivas were produced in 1992. I get so confused sometimes, and if so it would mean the gen 1 boats had a deffinate 4 year run...versus what I believed was a 3 year run.

Also, Do you indeed have the brocure for an 1800? I never before knew they produced any 1800's...which is exactly why I made this thread. Its nice to finally gather all the tid bits of information that everyone knows, and place it in one spot. Hopefully, someday, I can make a wikipage for Arriva boats.

Yep it devinitely says 1992 on the cover. The sales brocure covers all models for that year, not just the 1800.

Sorry, I don't want to sell it.

I'll see if I can locate a scanner here at work.

I found a scanner... :) but I only have the "Parts Location" for the 1800 sitting on my desk... I'll bring in the brocure tomorrow.
