I just bought my 1992 2655 the early part of May. Still learning the boat. I only had the boat out 4 times this year. The last time something just did not sound good at all. The outdrive was shot. I just got the boat back Friday and tomorrow, weather permitting, will take it out to see how she does.

Great site! This is my 1st post but I have been lurking here since early last Summer. I have had all my questions answered from other posts. I finally found my new (to me) 1994 in late September. I took her to a local upholstery shop for a new camper canvas then sent her off to storage…. Man do I miss her. I can’t wait for May when she will be put in her slip for the season. I am sure I will be doing my part to boost the economy…I want a generator, kicker, upgraded stereo, BBQ and I am sure much more.

Hooray! Just closed a deal yesterday on our '99 2655. She's a clean "looker" no bottom paint, garage kept, one owner. Powered by the 5.7 bravo III.
We'll haul her home in three weeks from her current marina. Two-(four) -foot- itis from our current '91 2255. (Still working on a name) BRING ON SPRING!
Any one got any advice for a new 2655 owner?
Dave

My wife and I just purchased our first boat back in Nov, 1994 2655. We're currently in the process of reupholstering the interior and trying to find a leak, possible the rub rail. Any advise would be appreciated.

We purchased our first cruiser - a 1988 2655 and thouroughly love it. The 9.5 width allows my wife and me along with my daughter and son-in law to move about freely. Can't beat the boat for the money - and here you're not just paying for a name.

This boat is a one owner, repowered the 5.0 in 06 has 200 hours use. Interior looks like it came out of the showroom. Boat was kept outside on a lift out of water. The exterior is oxidized but nothing some wet sanding and buffing wont fix.

I'm buying it from a marina who is consigning the boat. They said the boat did not have AC. However there is AC/Heat control unit is by the cabin door, with a vent below, the head side of the aft bunk has a unit installed. there is a water pick up inthe hull and a discharge on the starboard side, which appears to be clogged with debris. There is no breaker in the electrical panel for AC.

Does anyone have any input on this.

Look in your aftcabin back left there is niche back there. Look and see if AC unit is or was there.

The boat has AC & heat, which both work great. we stayed on it all weekend at the marina and finally hooked up the shore power.

We took her out on the maiden voyage, boat runs very well. the spedo doednot work, can anybody tell me what a good cruising speed is. It has a 5.0L and the boat has a sweet spot at about 3600 RPM. it seems to come off plane a bit at around 3000RPM. I'm curious what RPM other 2655 / 5.0L owners cruise at ?

Also, what does your temp run. Normally it is around 175, it went up to about 180 while trollig at 2000 rpm. and would drop to 160 when geeting back to plane and would then go back to 160. Is this normal or is my water pump in the outdrive starting to fail?

Do any of you guys know a good place to get rail bases? I have a 1992 2655 and specifically need the base that is mounted vertically at swim platform. Thanks!
