We recently bought a 1985 Contessa 2850 , "Sailsman" that was new out of St Louis, and about 1995 brought to Arkansas.
We are at Greers Ferry lake. Love the boat. Had just been restored beautifully right before we bought it.
Always in a covered slip and in excellent condition. Look us up if you are in the area.

Hello everybody!

Just to show my Contessa Flybridge 2850, year 1983, Mercruiser 5.0MPI-Alpha One.
Simply amazing boat! (for me)
Some improvements planning to do (solar, anchor winch, handrail all around, outboard speakers,...)

Beatiful boat!

P.S Great forum abt Bayliners!

I like the cockpit cover. Did you do it yourself or have it made? If you did it yourself what did you use? Any info appreciated. Checked on a custom one, cost about $800. To much for me. My Bimini over the flybridge was a generic for $100. I just cut and aligned it how I wanted.

What an awesome boating paradise you're in! Trust me the water doesn't look like that in California.

Hi, 87- Contessa Command bridge. Bought last August. 95 Merc 7.4 W Bravo II
Uppger helm is original. Lots of switches. Only figured out the horn, lights and the ignition key as yet :P .
I know the question has been posted before but the answers didn't match my boat so, is ther a helpful kind spirit among you that could list the labels alt. post a picture of the "dash" with visible labels. I would be so grateful.

Hi All!! Purchased a 1985 Bayliner Contessa designers edition last may (2016) been messing around with it getting preventative maintenance done and fixing up a few things. Happy to see there is a contessa page. Wish I found this sooner. So... I am working on splitting my electrical system due to having two batteries hooked to one power main that run's into the engine then out to the boat (cabin). I am curious if anyone else has this and if they split it... if you did how did you split it?

Photos to come she finally got in the water on Friday for the season!

Thanks and Safe Boating

Hey I got one of those! :) Mine is a 1982 with a Volvo. I'm actually looking to restore the original features as well as upgrade the interior so any ideas would be great!

Just got our 1984 2850 Contessa! What a great boat!

What's the difference between the Command and Sun Bridge?
