Gene, 1984 Contessa Flybridge owner, California Delta, Village West Marina, Stockton.

It has been a super boat. Have added a lot of custom features, plus my technician rebuilt the back end this past summer to correct dry rot problems. So now it is better than new!:)

Gene, I think I talked to you last summer at the ramp at Village West.
You were telling me about the repairs on your boat.
I'm planning on getting a slip at Village West this spring, will probably see you around this summer.

We just bought our 1986 Contessa Command Bridge 12/23/2010. My wife has not even seen it yet. Hope to get it shipped from Gig Harbor to it's new slip in Kennewick next week. Look forward to meeting other owners.

Own a 1986 Contessa Sunbridge. Purchased it cheap from a guy that had no clue what the heck he was doing........ but it is a nice boat otherwise. Replacing my 280 drive this season as well- my first time...

Yes it was listed on ebay and several other places. I call Zanesville home. It will be on the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers this summer, with trips to Cincinnati this year and hopefully down the Mississippi the next.

Knollman, when you brought yours down from Michigan, did you float it or did you have it shipped by truck? Mine will be shipped by truck to Ohio some time in April, after the spring thaw. Also, the 86 model had an aft cabin. Can it be added to the 85 model? Just wondering out load here.

Hi Japowell --
I lucked into a deal that included both boat and trailer, and I have a Ford F250 with the Triton V10- so the admiral and I made a long weekend out of driving up to Charlevoix and bringing her back. In my '86 Command Bridge, the "aft cabin" is really amidships under the dinette. I suspect one could reconfigure the '85, but it would be a lot of work, unless one had substantial underdeck support work or decking to replace.

I made the deal so late in the year that we haven't had her in the water yet down here- but once we both get the bugs ironed out in the spring it might be neat to meet somewhere on the Ohio on a weekend.

Hi Bob,
The man I bought mine from seems really nice. I think he just fell on some bad times and we all know our toys are the first to go. I don't know that I would ever need more sleeping room on mine but it was just a thought to add the aft cabin.

I've got to find a trailer for mine so I can have a way to put it in and take it out of the river. I'm at a local marina but he has no services really except for selling boats.

Mine is still under wraps and will be until the spring. Then it will be taken back to the local marina and checked out by the po's mechanic before he has it shipped. Wife and I are really looking forward to spending time on her and taking a few trips down your way. Maybe later this summer we can meet up for a nice weekend on the Ohio.

1986 2850 Contessa Command Bridge

I've had her for two years and just moved it to Bellingham yesterday. It will be a lot easier to finish all of the projects since she is 15 minutes from home now.

There have been several problems fixed with this project boat so far.

What are your WOT, speed @ WOT and props being used? Also what pin is the outdrive on? Fwd, center or Aft.

Thanks,
Ron
