SomeSailor wrote: I'm fortunate that my boat is very heavy (47K) and moves slow and deliberately, but I never touch the rudder once I enter port unless I absolutely need to.

I don't have thrusters, but Even then I re-center after use and use the props. Most boats will turn on their length if the owner is knowledgeable and confident. Good videos though. Thanks

My experience exactly. I never use the rudder. Shift and add throttle as necessary.

Car Man, good to see you post. Its been a while. I was thinking about you not long ago.

I divorced four years ago, I kept the house and the boat. I have also changed jobs about a year and a half ago. There has not been much time left for writing.

I have to check what I've written here before. I have shown when I renovated in the bow bedrom?

You looking for bloopers? It's hard enough to go bow in with that kind of current. Not even with fore and aft thrusters!

Hi, I tried to film with a breast-mounted camera, the result was not as expected. helmet-mounted camera had been better, but you look a little silly if you have a helmet when you go by boat.

Almost all of my movies are staggering when it's blowing, but here comes one to me almost no wind, making it much easier to maneuver the boat.
A little cold and rainy instead.
I think it's convenient to use bowthruster when I leave a dock, but it's not necessary when I get to a dock.

End of season. There are some people who are worried about the transmission on my boat, I'm not the least worried about itI have made a new video, which contains movies on the drive axles when I dock. a little poor quality, may make a better next season. myself. I have owned this boat for 10 years and everything worked well.

In the spring 2017 i boayd a 10 feet Kidmaster to the kids.
The boat is original disigt for a 10 to 15 HP engin, bit this one ghot a Mercury 18

We've been driving the whole summer, and find that the transom is too weak. In winter I will modify the transom so it will be strong.

I found some facts about Mercury 18 and found out that 18, 20 and 25hp are the same engine. There are different carburettors and exhaust pipes on them.
I carry the weight of a 25hp, but only have 18hp. Now I have changed carburettor and exhaust pipe.

Here is a video from the test run.
