Does anyone have any experience with either of these companies? Greenwater Exhaust and National Marine Exhaust.

I'm looking for a couple of elbows for my 175 Hinos. I have spoken with people from both outfits and the prices are about the same.

I'm more concerned with the quality of the products. Greenwater sent me photos of a set he just shipped to England and from the photos, the welding didn't look all that good. Also, it kind of looked like he might be working out of his garage.

Any input would be appreciated.

can't compare, as I only have experience with Greenwater but my welds look great.... Earl was real impressed and a local respected marine engine repairshop asked me for contact info after looking at mine.

The other big thing for me was not having to cut out to make things "fit". They fabricated mine so they were truly "bolt on" and I didn't have to chop out bits of fiber glass

Ditto for me. Have Greenwater risers on my 175 Hinos. One of the risers developed a leak (I got a very early version) and Dave from Greenwater came down to my boat to help pull the riser (and later to reinstall after he fixed it under warranty). Can't say more about the great customer service.

I've met the owners and seen the work products of both Greenwater and National Marine Exhaust. They are both quality companies with great customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either one.

I got mine from National Marine Exhaust (330 Cummins) and price, delivery and apparent quality is good.

They are also the OEM supplier to Bayliner/ Meridian

Cheers,

Mark
