I am trying to find someone or some business in the Everett/Seattle area that can make burl wood or similar dash panels for my 1994 4788 fly bridge & pilot house. I fallowed a gauge discussion Aug. 28th and replied to Somesailors fallowing quote and received an e-mail from him but I have never heard back after several attempts to track Mike down via –mail (no phone number as provided).

Wow... $3000USD? I'm not charging near enough :)

What did the factory burlwood replacement panels cost ya if you don't mind me asking? (without the guages)

So if there are any businesses or individuals in my area that can provide this service please call or e-mail me ASAP.

Regards,

Mike
Private message me for my local phone number please.

I am pretty sure the following company was the OEM supplier to Bayliner/Meridian

http://www.tecnografic.com

I don't know thier pricing.

Cheers,

Mark

Tecnografic(sp) is the OEM supplier and they are in Florida. I bought some panels from them two years ago. I had their phone number and contact name but I'm in southern Oregon and don't have access to my notes. Perhaps someone else can provide a contact number.

The back side of the panel should have a white sticker with the part number. The last digit of the part number determines which panel and the numbering system doesn't follow any logic so don't guess a part number based on the part number of adjacent panels. The left and right panels look identical but they are not interchanable due to Bayliner's nonprecision engineering. The pattern is called Maseratti Burl.

I replaced my panels when I upgraded electronics. At the time the panels were diffficult to get because Baykliner was changing suppliers. I got lucky abnd found some at a local dealer that matched. A customer had ordered these and backed out. I believe there almost $500 apiece. I came close to making them out of real wood panel or possibly aluminum painted flat black. Aparently there is some diference from year to year as the dealer wanted year and serial number.

Mike;

I think you got filtered out by my email software. What's your email address? I cut these panels all the time. I'd need accurate dimensions and can get them either from a CAD drawing or paper drawings and can lay the lines up myself. Cost depends on size and complexity, but are only a small percentage of what you guys are talking about here.

SomeSailer,

I would definitely get that software checked out. I have sent you 3 emails that haven't been replied to so far.

I sent you another email this morning. It depends on where the email comes in from. GMail has some pretty strict anti-spam filitering. Sorry about the delay.

SomeSailer, I sent you a couple of emails as well and have not heard back. I am interested in having my flybridge panel redone in a walnut burl. I have a Meridian 490, it should be the same as a 47. Thanks Alan

Somesailer,

I checked my emails and junkmail again and there's nothing there from you. Something sounds not right with gmail. Could you reply using BOC Private Messaging?

Thanks

I don't use the PM feature as it's too limited in attachments and notifications.

You should've received another email just now.
