I'm looking a cutting out a substantial portion of the inside transom on my 87 3870. The purpose is to install a fold away bench seat.
I’m looking for a contact at Bayliner to ensure I would not be compromising the structural integrity of the boat.
If anyone can help with a contact that would be very much appreciated.

Hey Brian,

The only number I have for Bayliner is 877.861.6494. I suppose they would be able to hook you up with the right folks. :D

You could try Pieter Austin, Customer Service Rep, if he is still there; he helped me with bulkhead thickness a few years ago when I wanted to do a little modification,
