While working around under the lower helm, I managed to crack the thermostat tube that controls the AC. One of those swamp alligator things. I presume it was filled with an exotic gas which has now escaped. The AC blows warm air only now. I have yet to call the AC people, does anyone know if the thermostat only can be replaced or do you have to replace the whole control panel. Also, has any one upgraded to digital and if so any hot deals? I think standard price is $250. Thanks in advance as always.

Try looking in "Grainger" or Johnstone" supply. They carry replacement t-stats with extended bulb sensors. Should be too much $

I built a replacement thermostat out of 3 relays, a 24 volt power supply and a digital household thermostat from Walmart. Cost was about $85.00. It did away with the whole control assembly.
Also I am sure cruise air will sell a replacement thermostat without selling the whole unit.
Good luck.
