Hi,

I just had my elbows on my 175's checked because they were leaking a bit. My mechanic says they are done and I need new ones. Ouch, his quote for Hino ones was pretty pricey. $5,000.00 installed and a bit less for after markets that would take 2 to 3 weeks to get.:arr

I've seen on this site somewhere that there is a place in Washington that is making replacement stainless steel ones. With the Canadian dollar now worth the same as th US one, this becomes a good option.

Can anyone out let me know if they have used these or any other info on elbow replacements.

Also, how hard is this to do yourself? From the small pile of nuts and bolts they guy left in a jar, it looks pretty simple. I have spun many a wrench in my days!!

Thanks

Both Greenwater Exhaust and National Marine Exhaust are in WA State and they both have Stainless Risers for the 175 at significantly less than 5K. The install is not hard, just time consuming if the little buggers (nuts and studs) don't want to play nice.
