I placed a contract on a Bayliner 4550 with the 220hp Hino's.

What engine RPM/cruise speed/ fuel consumption should I expect?

Also, is there anything in particular I should be aware of with the Hino's?

Thanks.

You can get information on our FTP site on the message post which is stuck to the top of the list in the Motoryacht section.

Hino's are great engines - you shouldn't be disappointed with their reliability or performance.

Thank you for the information.

One other question. I need a helm chair for the pilot house. Any idea where I may find one? Any recommendations?

Thanks again for the info.

Tell the seller that the helm chair is standard equipment and it should be included with the boat. If he balks bring it up after the survey and make it a deal breaker. If you but a new helm chair it will cost you at least a grand.

the original chairs where made by a european company called zwardvis,,they appear here on the site in the parts for sale section occaisonally,,,,west marine and other retailers have a similar chair for around a thousand dollars..if you get the boat why not put a post in the parts section looking for a chair,,

Maybe fill out your profile as to where you Boat or keep your Boat, you might be from East coast or who knows where...........

Here is a local link in the Seattle area that has used gear, it constantly changes. They do have some Helm chairs available, but not might meet your
criteria.

Maybe I am reading something wrong...

The Steveston marine site and the go2marine site both list chairs for about the same price, but it looks to me like the Steveston chair includes the stand/base/pedestal ("supplied complete as shown") while the other does not ("does not include column, base or footrest") according to the descriptions. Am I missing something or does that seem correct?

I'm interested in this topic - we do not have a helm chair at our lower station and I know the Captain would love one but keeps telling me they cost too much. If I can get the whole thing for around that price I might just say to heck with it and buy the dang thing. Our anniversary was yesterday.....think he'd complain?!?!
