weird new problem....attempted to fuel a tank that is 1/4 full yesterday and it acted as if it was full.....overflow through the vent.

Didn't have time to check it out....but my first thought was to see if the vent was clogged or restricted and it isn't. Anyone have anything like this happen? What would you check?

I did look all along the fill line and it isn't kinked or restricted. any ideas welcome

it's most likely a clogged vent.
The chrome vent caps on the hull side really do like to corrode to the point of blocking the vent line.

Thanks, Robert but that is the only thing I did check and the vent, and vent line is clear.

Only thing new ....but I can't see how it would have an impact is an "in-line" fuel pump or booster pump but I can see how that would make a difference.

Is the tank really 1/4 full? Could it be your sender or gauge that's wrong?

Is the tank really only 1/4 full? Could it be your sender or gauge that's wrong?
