Has anybody changed these sliders yet? If so where did you go/who built the windows for you? Just bought a 3818 and the frames are so corroded that the windows don't slide and will likely leak soon. Otherwise, the boat is great but I'd like to be able to let the guests open the window. I bought some of that neat bendable plastic rain gutter that Lake Powell houseboats use to put over the windows to keep salt water and the runoff from the front of the flybridge from draining on them any longer. Also plan to make some canvas snap covers for them also.

I order these 18 months ago from Buccaneer Mfg in Florence Oregon, 541-997-3597as follows:

-window # 1961 10 1/2"Hx62"W Hehr Part # 01-1961-104-620-3535-2551
-window # 1962 10 1/2Hx62"W Hehr Part # 01-1962-104-620-3535-2551

Cost with crating and shipping was $664.32. You might be able to order directly from Hehr in Kansas 316-283-6100.

I have only changed out the guest window, as it was leaking. I have not done the galley yet, does not leak and have more important projects on the go. To do the galley window you will have to remove the cabinet above the stove that holds the microwave and dishes.

When I did the guest window, it was a bitch to remove, uses a knife to cut the glue. Plus the new window will be slightly larger. You will have to trim/grind the fiberglass to get it to fit.

Good luck!

Steve
