I am new to the site I was looking for some help. I have been boating with my father and law for the past few summers now and wanted to start learning a bit more about his boat as he has now included me as an owner as long as I help with the upkeep. However, I cannot find any information related to teh specific model. I was able to find one picture of the exact model for sale in Canada. It is a 3417 motoryacht Tricabin. I can find a bunch identical but it does not have the master cabin at the stern. Can anyone provide some help, or point me in the direction of help? The Bayliner website only goes back to the late 90's. I look forward to learning more and sharing more on the forum.

Thank you very much in advance

P.S. this boat looks identical to the 3460 but it has a third cabin at the stern with second full bathroom, gain, any help on deciphering this boat and any info is greatly appreciated

I have never seen one of these boats. However I have the original sales flyer that came with our 1986 3870 and it has that model listed in it with several pictures. In 1986 it was called 3450 Tri-Cabin. I also have a friend that looked at buying one of these about 15 years ago and it was in Canada. We have talked about this model on several occations and have remarked how neither one of us has actually seen one. That not to say they are rare, but around here they are not seen.

I could try to scan the flyer and send it to you.

I've never heard of them and my 1999 Powerboat Guide doesn't have a listing for this boat.
It has to be rare.

It looks like a 3460 Trophy/3486 Convertible except with an aft cabin.
The 3460/3486 weighed about 14,000 lbs, held 315 gals of fuel and 65 gals of water.
It was a V-drive boat which usually came with 330HP gas inboards.
It's length is 33'9" and beam is 12'10"
It has a draft of 3'0"
With the 330's, cruise speed was around 20knots and max was 27-28 knots.

Here's a listing for one:

Yes the one in the pics is the exact boat. This is then one we have seen for sale in Canada. Thank you for your help, hopefully this will help me gather some more info. We may be planning on selling it soon do downsize a bit so the info will help me when we go to sell as well. Maybe Later, if you could scan the flyer that would be great! Again thanks for the help, hopefully I am able to find more info on this boat!

Thanks for everyones help with this. I was able to locate a third 3417 tricabin in Michigan and took pictures of mine to help me with my search for information. After much review and debate I think I am going to sell my boat. I love the boat because of its size and space but at the same time I am ready for something a bit smaller with some more space to enjoy the sun, and my father and law is getting a bit old for the upkeep. I am sure this will make one great boat for someone as it was for our family.
