whenever we use our boat summer or winter after a night or two the bottom of the mattress is wet we got some cardboard and placed it under the matress and on top of bed base in the forward cabin , its a large empty area under the bed with just the bow thruster down there and im thinking the warm top and cold bottom is the cause of the moisture the cardboard worked the best so far but im hoping some of you out there have found the answer to the sweating that occures

Try Wood slats under the mattress to allow some air flow.

We use the hypervent, haven't had any issues, pretty reasonable.

This is very common on boats and RVs. Google "boat mattress ventilation" to see a number of solutions.

No problem with the for forward queen berth in the 4588. We have Ikea slats under the mid berth to help some with the air.

Very simple, I used 3 of the 2' x 8 ' inch thick foam siding boards available at most building stores and cut them to fit.
This insulates the mattress from the cold compartment and it's cheap.
I leave them in all year and after 6 years as a liveaboard there has been zero condensation.

That is a nice simple fix! I already have spacer boards installed by the PO but I will remember that tip.

BTW where is the boat located (or what climate if you prefer).

Use a 3 D mesh under the matress.. It will clear out the problems.
It ensures the ventilation needed.

We used the heavy lattice from Home Depot . One sheet did the job with little scrap left over.
$30.

+1 on the lattice, get the cedar stuff, the smell is amazing and cedar resists mold.
