I think you're going to need to rent a carpet steamer, make sure it actually generates steam and not just hot water. Milk is tough to get out and its amazing how little of it is needed for that stink!

I've used a home carpet "steam" machine (really just hot water) with good results. Found that adding a little Oxy Clean to the water & detergent solution really helps out.

I've used resolve two part oxy clean cleaner in a can to get up catfish stink bait off my carpet and it works great. The smell was bad to put a man down for good.

I've used a combination of Resolve, brush and a wet rag many times. Go over with a shopvac to help dry it out. For tougher stains, I have used a small portable Bissel carpet cleaner where you add a solution of hot water and carpet cleaner. This thing really works well on coffee stains.

Javex bleach for unbleachables (the liquid) works wonders...don't try regular Javex though.
Dilute this with a mixing bowl of water to about 1 cap of liquid.... it works wonders ...I've even used this in the rented carpet cleaners to get tough stains out... but it works wonders with a rag too. Much better than any other product I've ever tried.

we had an issue in what I have called "Salsa Point" here.. we got caught broad-sided by a cruise ship wake (wasnt pretty)... everything on the salon table, including a large bowl of salsa went flying, and coffee cups. They ended all over our floor.. I luckily had a can of spray Resolve in the galley... I used the entire can and got a boat scrub brush. once cleaned I got out the shop vac an poof.. very clean.. no mixing or fussing.. spray and set a few.. then scrub.. SIMPLE. it came out brand new looking... use a lil elbow grease on it and it does come out.. coffee stains and salsa tested..lol

Aguest knocked over a run and coke. When back home, I used a hose with plain water and wet it good. Shop vac'ed the water. Came out looking new.

If you can find a cleaning supply store that carries commercial cleaners, there is a product called Pecrolator from Diversey that is designed for coffee spills. Use your machine to get it out of the carpet after cleaning.

Hope this helps.

Hi Marine One,

I totally agree with your suggestion, because few months ago I also used this Oxy clean to clean my carpet, which so dirty from so many years and it will give me better results.

We use rubbing alcohol mixed with water in our carpet cleaner for everything (about 1 part alcohol with 5 parts water). Learned it from a professional carpet cleaner that we hired in years ago. Works wonders.....even takes out that nasty bile vomit that dogs have every once in a while. You can buy the rubbing alcohol for dirt cheap at Costco.
