Matt, if his photo is any indication, I'd say Yes he does have a pair of long blocks w/ the flat top Q/E style pistons..... ready for the correct sized cylinder heads!
Wayne, if this B/L is salvageable and needs an engine, this just may be a good place for one of those! :)

Wayne, if this boat is an '83 or '84, someone has replaced the drive at one time. A close-up photo or two of the engine and drive would give me more info.

I was going to say, that one transom-on shot of the boat seems to show a very clean, very late-model AQ series DP hanging on the back of that boat. If the drive looks even half as good up close, I'd drop a new engine in that bad boy and cash in.

I'll admit. I LOL'ed.

Not speed reading :) I noted it was winterized and sat for 5 years and wasn't running.
If it was properly fogged, that doesn't mean it won't run. The engine should be fine. Carb rebuild likely, new coil, points, plugs.
Also it was rebuilt whatever that could mean.
I bought a pair of engines that sat for 20 years, new, on original crates and they fired right up.

GO look at another 25 boats like that one and maybe you will understand my negative attitude towards boats in the low-5-digit range.

I still maintain that if you have the means of disposing the boat, the drive could be worth the price.

In the US, commas separate thousands groups and a period detonates the "cents" (or whatever you call the fraction)

$5.000 thousands dollars = five thousand dollars
$5,000 thousands dollars = five million dollars

I'd give you $20 US dollars for the Sea Ray, your $25 would seem fair except with the economy the way it is... plus, I have to get your smell out. :D

The Contessa was in New York, so I'm guessing he's a canuck :) Montreal is right across the border, and is French-Canadian... hence the , instead of the .

What are you going to do with two OMC's Bounty? :)
