For whatever reason I now think I need a small toy. I found a 2251 Cobra in what appears to be good shape, with a real nice tandem painted trailer, OMC 5.7 Cobra /w mint stainless prop, etc. Anyone have any thoughts on this boat? Performance ideas?

Seems like a good deal, they're asking only $3500... maybe start with $2500 and pay $3k?

Any thoughts would be great :)

Good looking little boat. I assume it's the one at Sweetwater.... only one in the country it would seem. Wish I could see the detail pics. When I click on them I just get a page refresh.

I was purposely keeping things on the "down low" in terms of location in case it was a deal I needed first shot :D But yeah, it's the one at Sweetwater. I too could not find any others which is why I'm unsure if its a deal or not. Looks like it could use some cleanup but may be a good buy.

Matt, on a call right now, I'll call you shortly.

That's one of my favorite Bayliners of all time. Very cool styling for those years! I was looking for one a couple years ago when I was looking for my boat. I could only find one and it was priced way over my budget at the time. And it was too far away.

For $3,500, that seems like a good deal to me!

It's a fairly big boat, but not lots of floor area for walking room. Lots of seating/sunpad cushion area though. Plus they have a fairly large cuddy cabin area. The one I rode in years ago was very fast! Fun boat!

Below are some pics of one listed on Ebay last year.
