well, This is starting to sound like one of those " If you don't do it my way you are either an a-hole or dumber then a box of rocks" threads.
I think the real issue is the method of winterizing, not the anti-freeze.
Last winter and this year I had the VP service dealer handle the winterizing on my Regaliner. Its still under warranty with a lot of new to me systems so I had them do it. Guess what they used, Yup Pink stuff everywhere. Guess what else... nothing froze or cracked and I don't think it will this winter either.
Next winter, No warranty & a better understanding of the new systems, I will be doing it myself and using the pink stuff.
Yes, I know the -50 means bursting not freezing, Iv'e been using it in my Capri for over 7 years using the same method that Matt does .
I think he lives in a colder region . If thats the case get the -100 .but don't knock the pink stuff its the same stuff ! (snapple anyone ? )
Can anyone say that they knew someone who winterized properly and with the pink stuff and the block still froze ??
Kind sounds like the Bayliner bashers with no real experience...
Oh yeah Wayne, better check your bow eye, I've been hearing things...
