My wife and I are contemplating a leisurely 10 day trip down the Erie Canal (East to West) sometime this summer. Anybody ever done this? Care to offer advice (of any sort)? Places to see.....things to do? Finally, anybody know of a service that will drive my tow vehicle and trailer to the western end? Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks Wayne - my old site got shut down, I am in the process of converting all my logs to our new site.

Xsailor - that is a great trip with tons of stuff to see and do. Most times you can tie up for free and you never have to worry about rough water. I don't know of any commercial service that would move your truck and trailer, but I'll bet someone on this board might help out. I'm always up for a road trip!

Check out my Canal Info here --> http://Rochesterboating.com and our logs are all here:
